In 2009, the growth of business resulted in a new chapter in the Prime Foods saga: the construction of the largest and most technologically advanced hard cooked egg facility in the world.
Located in a Boonville industrial park, this stunning, 90,000 square foot facility can process over one million eggs per day using state-of-the-art “green” technology that significantly reduces the operational environmental impact. Once again reuniting the wholesale and manufacturing arms of the company, the plant offers centralized production, processing, refrigeration, and administrative space.
Many of the egg processing functions have been automated for efficiency. The facility boasts a centralized chemical delivery system as well as a dedicated chemical storage room and delivery dock to enhance sanitation.
Prime Foods meets and/or exceeds all applicable federal, state, and local requirements for food product handling and preparation. And at this point, it’s worth noting that Prime Foods, LLC has never had a product recall due to contamination.
