This month, we’re excited to shine a light on Maria and her exceptional team who work tirelessly—often behind the scenes—to keep our facilities pristine and our products safe.

Meet Maria Vizcarra

Maria joined Prime Foods in 2016, bringing with her a strong work ethic honed through years in retail and restaurant industries. After moving to Chandler, Indiana in 2012, she was ready for a new challenge and saw an opportunity with Prime Foods. Nearly a decade later, she’s become a cornerstone of our operations.

“The chance to learn something new every day is what I find most rewarding,” Maria shared. “And of course, the Prime Foods team—especially the sanitation team—makes every day worthwhile.”

A Culture That Drives Excellence

Maria speaks highly of the collaborative spirit at Prime Foods. “Everyone here is friendly, team-oriented, and purpose-driven. I really appreciate our company’s culture, especially how cross-functional project teams encourage idea sharing across departments. It makes our work stronger and more fulfilling.”

Outside of work, Maria is equally hands-on. She loves cooking for her kids and grandkids, renovating houses with her husband, and she also shares his passion for mechanics. It’s clear that whether at home or at work, Maria brings energy, curiosity, and care to everything she does.

The Sanitation Team: Pride in Every Shift

Maria’s team includes individuals who’ve been with Prime Foods for as long as 10 years to as new as one month. Despite their varying tenures, one thing remains constant: their pride in their work.

“All of them take pride in their job and do the best they can each day to keep Prime Foods as clean as it can be. We all love what we do, and it shows in the work we do,” Maria says.

Their dedication is a key pillar in achieving and maintaining Prime Foods’ multiple certifications and rigorous programs for the highest standards. Their work is essential, and we’re incredibly proud of the professionalism and passion our sanitation team brings every single day.
